Should I get Invisalign?

Invisalign could be a great solution for you whether you have an underbite or an overbite or you need to straighten your teeth. Invisalign offers the same benefits of traditional braces without the hassle of the wires and the obvious visibility. The greatest advantage of clear aligners is that it is difficult to be able to determine if an individual is wearing them or not.

Here at Alexandria Center of Dentistry, we are experienced in providing clear aligner orthodontic treatment. Dr. Attia has been an Invisalign provider since 2008 and is trained to do traditional braces. As a member of American Orthodontic Society, his knowledge of both braces and Invisalign allow him to provide the best options to his patients.

What is Invisalign?

Invisalign is a modern clear aligners that straighten your teeth without wires and brackets. The technology uses a series of clear, customised, removable trays called aligners. It’s clear, not visible, which means hardly anyone will know that you’re straightening your teeth. It’s also clean because you can take them off and brush or floss your teeth. This option has a great advantage over regular wire braces, where food gets impacted in the wire and in-between your teeth. Invisalign treatment is usually faster too but of course it depends on each patient’s needs.

How Does It Works?

First thing you have to do is to visit our office and find out if clear aligners are right for you. Our dentist will take a look at your teeth and present you with best solutions. Once you decide that Invisalign is right for you, the dental team will scan your mouth using digitally advanced technology. Following that, your dentist will present you with the best customised treatment plan. He will give you a preview of how your teeth could look like after using Invisalign. Once you approve the process, your aligners will be sent for printing and later shipped back to your dentist.

If you have a minor gap or a small misalignment, Dr. Attia could fix them with bonding or veneers without the need to have any braces or aligners.
