What is CEREC?
(CEREC) Crowns and chair side scanning are ones of the advanced technology in modern dentistry, where our dentist scan your teeth and design your crown chair side which is more accurate and faster than the usual regular dental crowns. The biggest upside to CEREC is the time the procedure takes to be completed. Regular dental crowns usually take weeks until they are ready, which can be very frustrating for the patient. Your crown can be fully completed in one appointment.
How Does CEREC Work?
The procedure begins with a 3d digital scan of the teeth to have a digital model of the patient's teeth in order to create the perfect fitting crown. This process should be accomplished by using a camera that will capture 3d imaging of the mouth and the process only takes minutes.
Once the digital 3D scan are taken, the dental team will begin creating your crown. The crown gets created using the milling unit.
The last step would be to try in the crown and then delivering it . The whole process takes about 90 minutes in one single appointment.
