Dental Fillings

Dental fillings including Amalgam, Composite and More

By closing off spaces where bacteria can enter, a filling also helps prevent further decay.

The process of dental filling starts with protecting the gums and lips so that only the teeth are exposed during the procedure. A bleaching gel is applied and lightened with a laser to speed up the whitening process. The results are beautifully white teeth.

Amalgam

Amalgam filling is composed of silver, tin, zinc, copper, and mercury. It is the least expensive dental fillings method and usually lasts around 10 years.

Composite

Composite resin fillings cost more than amalgam. They are made of plastic and particles. Bonding is achieved by adding a composite resin on the area needed to be bonded and applying LED light to secure it on there.

Cast Gold

Made out of gold, cast gold are more expensive than other fillings. They can last longer than amalgam and composite resin fillings. Since they are gold, they do not match the color of the tooth as composite resin does.

Ceramics

Ceramic fillings are usually made out of porcelain. They can last over 5 years and they are more expensive than composite resin and gold fillings. Ceramic fillings match the color of the tooth unlike gold and amalgam dental fillings.
